Synopsis
SYNOPSIS
We have developed a proposal evaluation model for the cancer council to evaluate proposals received for Cause Related Marketing Campaign (CRM) and licensing partnerships with 3rd parties, this is detailed in Part I of the word document attached. In developing this model, we have taken the following 4 key factors into consideration:
A. Financial Viability
B. Quality
C. Brand Alignment and
D. Building relationships and future development.
The model was formed by first identifying what needed to be ensured in each of the key factors above and then determining how to ensure them, this is detailed in the below word document. The model is structured as a questionnaire to simplify and standardise the evaluation process – this requires the assessor to examine documents and information provided in the partnering company’s’ submission against predetermined criteria. The questionnaire and substantive procedures are detailed in the attached spreadsheet entitled ‘Cancer Council CRM and Licensing Proposals Model’
We have also developed a financial assurance program for the cancer council to gain assurance on the amount of royalties payable by third parties in PART II of the word document. Again, this was formed by identifying what the cancer council needed assurance over and how to provide that assurance. As a result of this, we have formed an audit program which is also detailed in this document in Part II and recognised the necessity for licensing partners to provide a monthly reporting package which details product revenues and royalty calculations among other things. We have also identified other necessary financial contractual provisions to help the cancer council gain financial assurance over royalties – for example, the requirement for monthly payment of royalties to minimise default risk .
In addition to this, we have identified some general provisions that should be included in the contracting process in PART II to ensure that the high standards that the company was assessed on in the proposal evaluation model are maintained, and also to protect the cancer council brand.
Finally, we have developed a slideshow presentation in the attached powerpoint document to be presented to prospective new partners detailing the expectations of the cancer council in entering one of these agreements, where we have stressed the importance of brand and value alignment with the cancer council, as well as that of a mutually beneficial relationship based on trust.

Hi Be Happy, Leaving aside the content of your submission and the way you have chosen to present it, it is evident by your executive summary that your team has properly understood the question, which is half the challenge solved - I salute you for this. Hopefully your Word doc. becomes 'viewable' because I get the impression that it is a supplement to the Excel spreadsheet and would be useful to read. I really like your questionnaire style assessment for your partner evaluation however I am weary of the costs involved in all the double checking of documents between external auditors and internal staff. I would have liked to see more work done on the assurance model. Great work guys, you've obviously put a lot of work into your submission. Good Luck **The Innovators**
